Xbox 360 Error Can’t connect to network?

Hey I’ve just moved house and just the other day I finally got the internet connected now I’m trying to connect my Xbox 360 S to Xbox live. However its not working it won’t even connect to my home network. I’ve tried all the solutions on www.xbox.com/networkhelp and nothing has worked I’m still getting the same error. I am entering the WPA paraphrase correctly as well. My Xbox has not be modified or chipped. I was working well with a router of the same type before I moved. My Modem-Router is a Belkin Surf N300. The error codes showing up on the Xbox are:

W: 0000 – 0000

X: 8000 – 0011

Y: 0000-0000

Z: 0000 – 0000

ID: 0000-0009

I have searched Google and everything still can’t figure it out, even tried turning it all off and moving the Xbox console close to the router for better signal to no avail. Can someone help?

  1. You can try going into settings & re-set everything back to default including your network settings. This usually resolves the problem. If all else fails try a direct router or modem connection to see if it is a problem with the wireless router/adapter. Also you may want to check the router manufacturer’s website for any troubleshooting they may have.

  2. I had that problem with my Xbox S console ( its in repair =( ) but the way i fixed it was i hooked it up by wired then it fixed itself. Now i just keep it wired. But when i move it to my living room tv to watch neflix at times, the wifi works again. So you can try that.

  3. Hi,

Belkin’s can be very troublesome with Xbox live especially wirelessly, what if the model number (starting with F) when you flip over the router? If it listed here:-
