My Xbox 360 controller keeps blinking, and my console doesn’t start up?

Whenever I turn on my Xbox 360, it turns on, but doesn’t really start up, and the controller keeps blinking. I’m not sure why it does this. I have it set to HD (where it should be). Then if I set the switch to TV it starts up, but still no picture OR sound. What do i do? (All cables ARE plugged in right)

  1. If you look at the front of your xbox there should be a button.and there’s a button on the controller too located by where you charge it. If you hold down both the xbox button and the control button, the lights on both the xbox and the control should start flashing in circles. That means the controller is being programed into the xbox. But with the who not seeing it on the TV, im afraid i wont be able to figure that out unless its in front of me.hope this helps.( PS.the cord should not be on HD unless its an HDTV and the cords are connected to the component spot.)

  2. Press the sync button both controler and console. It is the small button under the disk tray, next to the memory card slots. It has ))) next to it. Hold it on the console and controler, they should blink and it should work.

If the 360 is on, and you have no video, then check the wires are plugged in right
